Shaanxi Huangling Coal Slurry Drying Project Commences Operation

  Recently, a large-scale coal dryer production line in the Huangling mining area of ​​Shaanxi Province completed all installation, commissioning, and trial operation with materials, officially announcing its full-scale operation. This drying equipment addresses the pain points of disposing of high-moisture coal slime and tailings, by-products generated from coal washing in the mining area.

Huangling coal washing operations consistently produce large quantities of highly viscous, high-moisture coal slime. The raw coal slime is highly moist and viscous, easily agglomerating. Open-air stockpiling not only occupies a large area of ​​storage space in the plant, but rainwater runoff easily generates leachate, causing soil and surface water pollution. Furthermore, the wet coal slime has a low calorific value, making it unsuitable for direct blending and sale; most of it can only be disposed of at low prices, resulting in a serious waste of high-quality coal resources. To address the dual challenges of environmental pressure and resource depletion, the mining area customized a complete drum-type coal drying production line based on its coal slime production volume and material characteristics. The equipment incorporates a specialized material dispersing and lifting structure to specifically solve the problems of high-moisture coal slime sticking to the walls and clogging. Combined with a closed dust removal and exhaust gas purification system, the entire production line meets the environmental emission standards of northern Shaanxi and can achieve continuous and stable operation around the clock.

After the equipment is officially put into operation, it can continuously and deeply dehydrate wet coal slime, precisely controlling the moisture content of the finished coal. The dried coal slime is loose and dry, with a significantly increased calorific value, and is less prone to moisture absorption and deterioration during storage. Loading and transportation are convenient and efficient. The upgraded dry coal slime can be directly transported to the mining area's own power plant for co-firing and power generation, replacing some of the raw coal fuel and effectively reducing the power plant's coal procurement costs. It can also be sold as raw material for briquette production and commercial fuel, significantly increasing the economic value of coal slime by-products.
